About Us
The North Shore Group at North Shore Center is a group of dedicated, highly trained, and caring individuals who have been offering expert services for over 25 years.

We are therapists, teachers, and coaches with doctorates (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.Psy.) and other qualifying certifications, licenses, or training. Many of us are professors at colleges or universities with years of experience in our fields of specialization, have published widely, and presented papers at multiple professional meetings.

To take a few examples:

  • The psychotherapists, counselors, and marriage and family therapists who treat individuals, couples, and families have long histories of successful interventions in these specialized areas and are prepared to offer different therapies based on clients' needs.
  • The individuals who practice hypnotherapy and guided imagery are certified by or are Approved Consultants of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and certified as Master Practitioners by the Society for Neurolinguistic Programming. Those practicing biofeedback have been certified by Biofeedback Institutes.
  • Our university professors who teach life coaching, dramatic coaching, self-development, meditation, and public speaking have had extensive professional and business training experience.
  • The specialists who deal with communication disorders, swallowing disorders, and hearing impairments are certified by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, and (or) the American Academy of Audiology.
  • The professionals who diagnose and treat learning disabilities are trained to teach other professionals in the field.
Insurance: Most important for your pocketbook, although we provide both long and short term therapy, because of our expertise we often achieve results within a very short term of therapy, sometimes as few as two to four sessions for less pressing problems. We are out-of network insurance providers. Many clients receive PPO, union, or company reimbursement. (The only multi-network program in which we participate is the Integrated Health Plan.)

Payment: Payment is by cash or check at the time of service.
